Armfield Civic & Recreation Center

The Armfield Civic and Recreation Center — known locally as the ACC — is home to the Town of Pilot Mountain's Parks and Recreation Department, located at 873 W 52 Bypass, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.

The Center offers a 40,000+ square-foot indoor fitness and recreation facility with a basketball court, weight room, cardio room, junior-sized Olympic indoor pool, warm water pool, and indoor track. Outdoor facilities include a basketball court, four baseball/softball fields, three batting cages, a fenced playground, a picnic shelter with public restrooms, an outdoor walking track, and an 18-hole disc golf course. The Center is also home to Nelson Acres, a 115-acre natural area with walking trails and camping sites.

The ACC was founded in 1986 through community collaboration. A new facility was built in 2002 by the Pilot Mountain Foundation Inc., a local nonprofit. After being awarded the Rural Transformation Grant Fund in 2022, the Town purchased the property and established a formal Parks and Recreation Department.
